Wild Potomac
Helping people and wildlife thrive together
Wild Potomac is dedicated to restoring the Potomac River and its watershed to health and abundance.
Our work invites people to deepen their relationships with the ecosystems around them through reciprocal giving and receiving.
Get to Know Our Work
Wild Potomac envisions a Potomac River watershed restored to health and vitality, where people and wildlife not only co-exist, but thrive together in relationship. People act as a keystone species, meeting their needs in ways that build community, biodiversity, and abundance.
We serve this vision by providing opportunities for people to enter into relationships of mutual nourishment with wildlife and each other. Our projects — harvesting and sharing wild food, planting and tending community forest gardens, and greening urban spaces — benefit people and wildlife directly. But they also heal the relationships between people and ecosystems by fostering experiences of connected giving and receiving.
